    Right, but we are exposed to loud sounds everywhere (if you live in a big city you know what I mean). IMHO it's like sunbathing: you can't avoid it but you can protect yourself from damaging overexposure. Still, an "earplugged" dj is a partially deaf dj anyway, so the way I found to protect myself and still not be affected in the mix is to use low monitoring. Sometimes it is not possible, I agree, but I take that as part of the job. As w/ all things in life, it's a matter of getting used to it.

    Right you are on that one. I mean don't get me wrong I still only use earplugs to spin when the system/monitors are just overwhelming other than that I primarily turn the volume down to where I can stand it. However as far as partys go tho, if i'm not spinin then I am definitly wearing protection.

    On that I agree 100%!!!" Whenever I feel my heath treatened, I use condoms... er, that is, earplugz!!!
