I need a mixer for spinning hip/hop and scratching. Which is better?

    Stanton SMX501
    Technics SH-DX1200
    Numark DM3002

Preferred if the price is lower but still ideal for my type of djing.

huh? what does that have to do with anything? just because a piece of equipment costs a lot of money does not make it the best or even good. if this is your logic, why are you asking about some of the lowest priced mixers available in your post below? btw, if you want to know more about behringer, use the search button at the top of the page. there is a good bit of info that has been discussed in previous posts.

i wish i could comment on these mixers but i have not used any of them.

    Out of your choices?

    Probably the Stanton SMX 501

Out of those mixers you have chosen theres quite a Price Difference but In those Price Ranges?

Numark DXM03 Digital (rather than the DM3002)

    Stanton SK6F Mixer

    Ecler HAK310

    Ecler Smac 30/40

    Hope this helps

    Cool.

The Stanton SMX-201 is 80 bucks and free shipping on 123dj.com, is that also a good one?

You might be taking a gamble buying from 123dj. That being said, I would never buy a mixer under $100 unless it was used and in good condition. Out of your choices I would look most at the Stanton SMX-501. Also in your price range I would also look at the Ecler HAK, SMAC, Tascam XS-8, Stanton SA-8 (I think they've fixed the x-fader problem), possibly the Vestax PMC-07, Rane TTM-54i.

    sa-8 for that price range.

don't ever buy technics mixers, they are just expensive paperweights

I would get a Vestax if you want to scratch. You can pick up a cheaper one for about $140.
