i spin drum n bass and sometimes i like to
mix really fast to keep tunes constantly blending.
do any of you have any tips on this?
i tend to just throw down the next tune at an appropriate
point early on, match it within 16 bars and then ease it in compared to the normal method i do of matching the tunes and then cueing tune number 2 and waiting.

i tend to do the same thing- i like mixing d n b as quick as i can.... that type of music just seems to lend itself to mixing fast- it motivates and challenges me. it's also a heck of a lot of fun to mix. sometimes i like to just do quick cuts from one track to the other. other times i might blend the breakdowns or non- beat sections and mix thata way. or just beatmatch and bring the tunes in whenever appropriate.

    exactly,

i'm also starting to do things like bring in basslines first or switching back and forth between basslines.
there's way to many possibilites other than simple drop mixing.

    Thumbs up

DnB deejays like that but it's not only good for DnB, at a certain point in the night I tend to mix faster and not let a song play twice (as in playing, break then play again till the end to mix...). It adds more energy to the set w/o the need to raise the BPM too much...

    And yeah,...

I mix however I feel...If I am in a lazy mood I let the songs run...If I am jumpin and dancin with the crowd I'll mix every 30 seconds.....when you start feeling it , then it's all good
