what kind of controller would you recomend ?????

hey there,

I had image lines deckadance demo free when I had fl studio a few years ago. I played around with it, but mainly stuck to producing. id like to try my hand at mixing ect.
now my question is, I obviously need some sort of controller.


what kind of controller would you guys say is worth getting.

good prices second hand and overall generally something that will last.

What is your budget and what software will you use?

This link shows what controllers are supported by deckadance. The only ones on their that I would even consider are the xone, mix track pro 2, or a vci. But considering vestax went into administration there will be no support for any vci.

my budget would be £100-150 that's my absolutely top line. obviously anything less than that is a bonus

this is where my newbie side comes in. what software would I need exactly ?

I would recommend serato DJ initially, failing that traktor pro. But these require decent computers and based on your budget I doubt you will have one. Failing that I'd say virtual DJ.

yeah ive just been doing some research on the numark mixtrack pro 2 and serato. my computer is custom built with a solid state hard drive and a good amount off ram and memory. so im not to worried about that not coping.
the reason I have such a low budget for the controller is I want to get into it and stick to it first. rather than sink £500 into it and not stick with it. the wife would kill me
