traktor is heading in the right direction of new turntable/controller technology. You can do so much with such a compact device.
 
Cdj, better sound and teaches you to do things properly
 
Both have the same sound quality since they read off of hard drives (unless you're actually using CD's). Whichever one sounds better just depends on the quality of the song file.

Exactly. Sometime using a CD still won't get you "better" quality. This is always dependent on the source material.
 
Taktor or serato are both the way forward. Makes everything about your djing life easier. No 1 being able not not just have to remember your compositions but to be able to set reminder points that will re appear every time you play the same set. As well as a plethora of other things. none of the experience of mixing is taken away if you are using turntables or a controller, you life is just gifted with more options then your brain can deal with.
