Hi all, I'm new to the list as well as DJ'ing. Its something I want to do as a hobby. I have a question, everytime I back cue with a record, the needle skips. I'm not using alot of force. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

turn your counterweight so it comes closer to you, hence, adding more weight. more weight = better tracking

yup, yousa got too little weight on the cart. but whatever you do, don't do it like we did it back in the day, i.e. duct tape a quarter on top of the headshell.

Ya.
today they have super cool weights that clip onto your super cool headshells so you can be a super cool dj without any super uncool skips.
Cuz' that would be super uncool.
