Simple mixing tricks for a Hip Hop DJ?

So I got back into Djing recently and I'm a little rusty. I haven't done it in over 5 years and I used to rock with vinyl, now I'm using a digital mixer with my PC. You can scratch with the equipment I have all though it doesn't feel as natural as it does with vinyl.

I've only been back at it for about a month but I wanna step my game up a little faster. At the moment I'm mostly fading songs in and out or pausing and starting tracks at the same time.

What are some simple mixing tricks you guys can recommend for the type of equipment and software I'm using? I appreciate the help!

That will cover the basics - type those into youtube with Dj and hiphop attached and practice.
