Ordering MIDI signals in Traktor

So I've got a MIDI setup such that I have one button doing two things inside of Traktor. It will change the effect type in one of the effects slots and turn the effect on. The problem I have is that when I press this button it will first trigger the effect, THEN it will switch the effect, thus leading to it cutting out the effect.

Since it is a single MIDI signal being interpreted by Traktor to do two things, I believe it is Traktors 'fault' and not my controller.
 
Odd. I guess that's how it was programmed.
Some midi devices have an on/off thing and not like a toggle too which is retarded imo lol.
