    Laptop for DJing

I'm looking around for a laptop to use exclusively for djing. I already have a personal laptop and want to separate the two but I'm having a little trouble deciding what's good and what isn't. I found a cheap laptop with these specs:

    MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 13" Mid-2010 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo (P8600)

    Intro. April 13, 2010 Disc. February 24, 2011
    Order MC374LL/A Model A1278 (EMC 2351*)
    Family Mid-2010 13" ID MacBookPro7,1
RAM 4 GB VRAM 256 MB
Storage 250 GB HDD Optical 8X DL "SuperDrive"
Complete MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 13" Mid-2010 Specs

I know I should get at least 4GB but wasn't sure if I should get a little more, like 8GB? I'm on a budget that's why I'm trying to get something cheap. I have over 18,000 songs in my iTunes library.

Depends on the how many programs you're going to run simultaneously. 8GB is a little overkill for djing, I think 4GB should be enough.

It doesn't matter how many songs you have on itunes library - that's a hard disk issue not a Ram issue.

I'd go for anything with an i7 in it. The more cores the better. For DJing, you want power.

Agreed. In general it is never a good option to go for the cheapest.
