pull the platter off, if thier belt drive, you just screwed urself because those belts are hard as sht to get back on, LOL. honestly tho, u should be able to tell by pushing down on the edge of the platter, most direct drive platters don't move that much. also, if you take off the mats, u might be able to actually see the rubberband down in there thru the platter lift holes.

also, i find it hard to believe that you visited a manufacturer's website and they didn't list weather it was belt or direct drive, thats the first thing listed about any turntable. thats like when they list weather a car is automatic or manual.
