Deep House DJ's, How long do you let a song play out?

I'm curious to see how long some of you other DJ's who mix house music/deep house let your tracks play for before mixing into a new track. I'm constantly torn between letting a good track play for a while or switching quickly to prevent monotony. Any thoughts?

Hi there. Hi mix tech house but maybe this can help you (sorry about my english).
I usually start mixing after the last drop, but this can change always depending of which tracks I am mixing.
So I think I play each song 3.30/4 minutes.
But, as you say, a good song deserves being played a while, always paying attention at the climax, the emotion.

Well, there are different ears so there are different hearings. In my case, I listened to the song twice before mixing into a new track. This will help me make good cuts.
