conectiv + mpd24 setup+macbook..

hello,
im pickin up the maudio conectiv setup and i have an akai mpd24, i'm wondering if it's possible to mix without any decks or cdj's, just using my mpd24 to trigger cueing, fx, etc..
i kno the advantages of using the time encoded vinyl but does anyone out there use torq with just a midi controller..
 
I use the akai mpd 24 faders and midi-map it to ableton live as my crossfaders and use the knobs to control efx parameters.SO the connectiv as midi inputs and outputs
