I think that copmuters are the way DJ'ing is going to go. Its a sweet softare, but since it is in digital sound, it sould a little crappy when scratching. If it could be changed to analog (if its possible), that should drastically impove the way the music sounds. Until then, Vinyl 4 eva.

Right.... for DJ and scratch kind of stuff, the set of turntable decks with a battle mixer (stanton or others) is andwill be the way to go.

However, when "mixing" means "remix" (ie when people write a remix version of an existing track), the original track is taken in pieces (samples and separate instruments) and the track is rewritten in a sequencer such as VS,Logic, or on a Pro TOOLS workstation. And in this case, the computer (which appearance and form vary a lot depending on how it is configured and built) is a must.

Just wanted to point this out as the word "mix" nowaday can mean a lot of different things.
