Leave it to JSLmusic to post a thread about Goals/Predictions 2007 and don't post his goals until 2007.
It's still the beginning of the year though...
Here it goes: (similar to what I posted in 2005...)
Goals/Tasks for 2007
• Continue to refresh my memory and learn more Music Theory.
• Have a Good understanding of music theory
• Complete three “today’s beats” tutorials a week
• Have to ability to play the piano at a professional level.
• Continue to discover different ways to flip a sample.
• Build a an equal amount of sampled, and original instrumentals
• Continue to upgrade my equipment. (Decide on a pair of monitors to purchase. Toward the end of the year)
• Upgrade my computer. (Add more ram, reformat both drives, Buy new hard drives, External hard drives, CD/DVD burner)
• Continue to learn more about Mixing and focus on getting my music to sound better sonically.
• Focus more on getting my name out there (via the web and locally)
• Continue developing my business mind by reading different books.
• Become more efficient with Graphic Design programs (PhotoShop, Illustrator, )
• Come up with a official Logo for Production and Publishing
• Work on Promotional materials: businesses cards, websites, etc.
• Develop a flexible schedule to make my music and write songs (Goal: average about 5 instrumentals, and three finished songs a week)
• Continue to broader my knowledge on the business of music and business in general.
• Set up a company for publishing, and production company (maybe around summer)
• Come up with a business plan for both companies.
• Come up with a 10 year Music Career Plan
• Come up with a deal with a local label
• Continue to boost up my gpa (college)
• Continue to seek out internships
• Learn more about the history of hip-hop and music in general.
• Read bios, watch documentaries about the entertainment business.
• Make sure I have an impressive knowledge of music.
• Focus on thinking on the outside of the box to make more creative music.
• Broaden my music by making tracks for genres outside of hip-hop/R&B
• Continue to improve my ear, Learn chords, intervals, etc.
• Produced a rough album for myself.
• Hook up with a group of artists to send my production too.
• Buy more sounds and refills for Reason
• Learn how to create my own sounds
• Continue to find more sounds for reason
• Try my best to max out both programs creatively and sonically. (Reason and Recycle)
• Locked myself in a room with both programs and try to learn everything about them.
• Pay more and more attention to what’s on the radio. (Listen for certain sounds used)
• By the end of the year, have a diverse catalog of instrumentals
• Visit Atlanta and see how the Music Scene is over there… (around summer)
• Get radio play, by the end of the year…
• Gain more exposure
• Continue to develop my sound
• NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK
• Find artists to sing and rap on my music
• Go to different venues, shows, etc. to shop my beats at.
• Research opportunities in TV and Movies. (independent)
• Develop different artist of my choosing
• Try to have actual studios sessions with different artists and actually produced a record
• Try to research more on how to get the best out of certain people.
• Seek out other driven people who want to enter the entertainment industry.

G-unit tries to make a comeback with a hot single but fails
JSLmusic gets on Mtv news' "You Hear It First" (it could happen
)
Jay steps down as CEO of Def Jam
Alicia Keys released a classic album
Michael Jackson Makes a Comeback
Eminem annouces live album (maybe)
Scratch Magazine continues to detoriate (and eventually dies
)
Ciara Goes Platinum
Timbo puts another artist on the map with a hot single... (Keri Hilson most likely)
More musical Legends die... :crys:
