People always tell me "dont burn bridges because the industry is smaller than you think." What exactly does that mean. I see people in the industry on twitter ready to shank each other. And bangledesh went on many rants about young money in interviews, yet landed the first single on lil wayne's album....So my question is, what actions constitute "burning a bridge"?

    It's just a saying. Don't "burn a bridge" means Don't "ruin a certain opportunity".

IE. burning a bridge with Weezy means doing something that would cause Weezy to not work with you anymore.

Totally depends on the type of person I guess.

I mean, I don't see Kanye West working with Taylor Swift any time soon, or Chris Brown working with Rhianna.

Man I burned a lot of those. Having a backbone can turn against you though. One thing I can say is I have never been a suck up even though that may have advanced things for me in life.

Don't do anything to stuff your credibility basically.

It also means don't piss people off.

But of course it cuts both ways. you don't have to take anything either

to expand on trumindz sig quote:
"Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone disrespects you or puts their hand on you, you don't have to accept it; send them to the cemetery, because s/he may as well be dead to you."

I like that, bandcoach. Some people just don't understand the concept of respect. I have lost a lot of "friends" and music contacts because I didn't put up with their bullshit. On that note, I really love this song. Some may say it's soft for Hip-Hop, but this is REAL shit to me:

    ^^^That's a good song.

    On topic...

The reason why Bang's rants didn't really affect his relationship with wayne is because it wasn't even between them. He was talking about the label not paying him, not Wayne. It wasn't personal, so when wayne heard a beat he liked he wasn't gonna pass it up. Same thing goes for Swizz, when he could get paid and YM already resolved the issue with A Milli he wasn't going to pass it up.
