The Secret Which Makes The Difference Between A Huge Success And A Low Wage Beatmaker

the thing is this, CREATIVITY, surprised ? doubtful ? no man, we have it, it in fact is CREATIVITY

this book right here, Amazon.com: Imagine: How Creativity Works (9780547386072): Jonah Lehrer: Books

you need to get it , forreal

it brings all the explanation to making good beats, i admit, not directly, but it does it in a excellent way

i already have it, so let me get to the point

the right brain side is responsible for coming up with ideas, imagination, creativtiy

and when the right brain site is running on alpha waves you are in the best state to be creative

how do you get to that state ? alphawaves run when you are relaxed, so the answer is, relax

ever wondered why you get good ideas while showering ? or even while taking a shit after good dinner ?

you are relaxed, your right brain runs on aplha waves,

here's a quote by the arguably biggest musical genius of all time

    NO its NOT by iceboy

“When I am . . . traveling in a carriage, or walking after a good meal, or during the night when I cannot sleep; it is on such occasions that ideas flow best and most abundantly.”

    this quote is by mozart

so he told us when he had the best ideas, analyzing this from today's scientific perspective he did things that relaxed him, which caused that right brain side alphawave state

that's pretty much my point...be relaxed, do something different, break out of your confort zone, think postive, be relaxed, get away from the internet, close FP, stop checking the mail, take a shower, go out to have a walk, get home and set a good light, just open your software NOTHING ELSE, and just sit there calmly, and the ideas will come to you, trust me, this is key !!! this is the ultimate secret, i told it y'all for free, get the damn book to get a even deeper understanding of the subject

do you think lex luger is halfway making drum patterns, halfway chatting on fp or facebook or whatever ? he is there with his programm, calm by smoking weed, and then he pours his heart into the shit, and this is we're the great beats come otu (this is how all producers do it) and then you'll see result, then success and money will come, but first you gotta make sacrifices, lock in and keep at it

    thank me later

Thx for the post polair. I don't think there is a secret to genius or creativity, you either got it or don't. You either got the desire to grind until u get where u want to be, or don't. There are a lot of books out there and I hope your read as many as u can, but there is no substitute for hard work (unless yo people are rich of course). my 2 cents.

Has nothing to do with creativity.

What makes the difference is hard work.

you cant really label it like that...i mean people get inspired differently...and have different thought processes..depending on what triggers their inspiration, its more about your brains ability to process the incoming information and spit it out filtered through your own personality, beliefs and point of view....etc

you cant really think that inspiration, originality comes from thin air...and it just hits you from nowhere in the shower...or just because your body is relaxed...it has a source... its like saying that BMW invented the wheel just because they put their logo on the rims...

it comes either from memory...or from an external source directly...mozart might have felt inspired riding a carriage because of the sounds of the horses galoping...maybe it triggered a rythm pattern in his brain ...and besides it kinda defiens the "relaxing" thing... i mean riding in a carriage at that time wasn`t exactly like cruisin` in a pimped out Benz)))..no suspension...really fuked up roads...trust me..there`s nothing relaxing about it...

and it can go on...walking after a good meal...a lot of things happen ..birds..people..sounds everywhere..its like a pool of inspiration...

there are no ..."secrets" to it...its about hard work..and passion... if i started playing tennis now...i can guarantee u that in 10 years id win something significant...im not saying the roland garos...but..still...if i work hard enough and i perfected my skills its not impossible... but it depends ...there are a lot of factor to be taken in consideration....some people might work harder then me...or not harder but they might adapt more quickly...or spend more time training....so then id have to double my efforts to fill the gap....its not about getting the best racket and training on the best court...its about the work/time u invest in it...its about what makes sense to you...that`s why you wont find "secrets" in books, you`ll find what worked for X, or Y or Z...always told from another persons perspective and experience...but to find out what and how it works for you, you`ll have to do more then that...

I wouldn't say it's a secret, but it does help... For example, as a substitute for weed, I just stay up late when I can, from the hours of 11 pm till 6 am, I'm alone, peace and quiet, I have a chat with my friends till 12:30, that'll inspire me... On college days, I walk home from the bus stop, that'll inspire, I get in the house, and I'm like 'I have a similar sounding sample somewhere' and I'll make the beat off the idea... Being relaxed makes you more receptive to the ideas...

I agree heavily with those saying about hard work, ofcourse you need to put in the work, but being relaxed helps too. Neither should be a substitute for the other, but combining them gives you the greatest secret of all, fulfilling your potential, which leads to your success.

i didnt say relaxing is bad...its good.. in general for the body... people spend way more time looking for "recipes" then actually workin` on their own...what works for me might not work for you...and when you put 100000 people on the same page. pursuing the same goal...some will focus on making their own recipes...some will focus on selling to those that haven`t figured it out...some wont get it at all...some will be praised...some will be rejected...etc..it goes on and on... come to think about it, that doesn`t apply only to this particular example....

and i feel you on the weed thing:P
