his first solo album went platinum though, and he had multiple platinum singles with the Hot Boyz, and every album went gold up until Carter I which went platinum. even his 'rock album' went gold and so did the 'young money compilation went gold"

he wasnt the pop icon he is now.. but hes always been a successful artist.. and are we really gonna let 3 years of suspect music wash away 12+ years of good music?

Not trying to belittle the Platinum but his first album and his hot boyz days were when going Platinum wasn't nearly as difficult as it is now. And besides back then he wasn't a pop icon like he is now. The man didn't really blow up until after he released the Carter 2. Sometime between the Carter 2 and 3 his popularity sky rocketed. Also I think in the last 3 years he's made more suspect music than he's made good music. The number of songs he releases is crazy and a good amount of em aren't good, but he does have some great shit thrown in every once in a while

moral of the story is this

theres a lot of producers in this industry i dont like, theres been a lot of interviews ive done, meetings ive had in which ive been baited in to speak on said producers, but i dont say anything. not because im scared of them, or being blackballed or any of that. But because i havent earned my right to speak on another man no matter how i feel about them. I have one platinum record, and one grammy nom. thats it. I havent done shit. So me sitting there and saying "oh this producer is wack, this guy is weak, i dont **** with this person, this person aint shake my hand when i met him" and all that other feminine shit, doesnt mean anything and just takes away from what im doing

if every record i released with a big name artist.. and i came and made a thread.. and said "Oh yea this new Jay-z song produced by me.. oh yea and **** So&SoBeats, them niggas lame" every single time i had a placement? that takes away from what you do.

Pusha T had a decent run with the clipse, hell hath no fury is one of my favorite albums of all time. But more good songs, less good raps about other grown men that you dont like. Unless you just constantly want to rap about other dudes and make music for yourself. Which is cool, but id rather hear pusha make some songs than diss men who are younger than him and better off than him

he has other things he should be focusing on in his career, not dissing people. Hes opening up for Future.. Future.. future sold 40k albums his first week, and Pusha is opening up for him.. Not co-headlining, not at a festival.. but opening up for him, like hes some rookie. Future has had a career for a year.. maybe 2 tops.

Thats all im saying.. is your personal feelings more important than your career? If so, thats what it is.

sorry man but I'm gonna have to disagree with this, you said your not gonna say anything because you don't have that many awards or is it because your not a millionaire yet. producers will bow down to somebody like dr dre because he has more money than them, not to say I dont have respect for him because i do, he's a legend. But the only difference between me and him is he's got more money. I think my beats are hotter than his. Not to many producers would be brave enough to say that.
