I am a songwriter in LA and most believe that "los angeles" is there "meal ticket" but in reality there is so much competition, that you REALLY have to stand out. More importantly, this is industry does have to do with "relationships" than "music" buidling a relationship with your network is highly important and of course having great talent.
I just think the music business is based off of "who you know"
