so say you're trying to be innovative, and your sitting there thinking, hmmm i make trap, and i make dubstep... why not try mixing the two? ok cool... 'ima call this trapstep' is the first thing that alot of people would probaby think. its catchy so why not?

it may not blow as alot of you are saying it will but it has definitely got alot of peoples attention..go on soundcloud and type in trapstep..theres alot of attempts, many of them garbage, but theres a few thats decent..check this one for example...

^^^^^^people can be innovative all they want to. But they should except also that what they trying to call trapstep is really either trap........dubstep........or a DJ's mix of the two. Like that soundcloud link you posted...that shit is no different than when DUBSTEP PRODUCERS remix other genres. That is not trapstep.....or sound like what would be trapstep. It sounds like a DJ mix.

To be fair with everyone....since I haven't heard a good example from anybody yet. This is as close to trapstep as I heard so far.

O.K........and it sounds good. great blend of the two. But it is no better than a "trap" beat......or a "dubstep" beat.

It ain't going to happen as this big new genre thing or nothing.

Hell...yall talk about trapstep and haven't said anything about drumstep yet. lol! That's another point.

No, I like techno like mau5 and stuff, just Skrillex and stuff makes me angry. The only cool Dubstep I like are the one's where like small DJs on YT rmx stuff, sounds awesome.

Just by the way you only listed Skrillex makes you invalid.

What about AFK, DatsiK, Crizzly, Traxione, Particulate, Excision, Downlink, Vaski, Getter, Bong, Bratkilla, DKS, Floop, Rob Swire, etc?

If you can't name an artist more than Skrillex, you certainly don't know shit.
