He's clearly never heard of Nelly. or Bone Thugs.
Here comes the ego, drake doesnt know what he talking about.
PM Dawn was rappin and singing.
he's right if you think about the context of having literally R & B quality songs on an album. This guy wrote records for alicia keys and jamie foxx, i cant think of any artist that has done it to that degree

like he said "a lot of artist have incorporated melody" but drake not only established himself as a good r & B songwriter, but also launch off the style of cats like The Weeknd
How about Ja Rule? Or SisQo lol
Singing with autotune and pitch correction isn't singing!
he took what kanye was doing and made it more rnb
He's never heard of Lauren Hill then. Because I swear she used to rap and sing and was very, very successful with it before she disappeared.
^^^Lauryn and Wyclef above all. Ja Rule and Nelly were very influential as well. Queen Latifah? Missy Elliot? Kanye? T-Pain? Even Wayne unless I'm f**kin up the timeline(Lollipop was before Drake, right?)We'll be here forever naming reason's why he's wrong.
I get what he was trying to say, but no.

Two things that annoy me are people who are positive out of ignorance, and people who are negative out of bitterness. People who are neither usually get along with me and agree with most of what I say. People who are one of the 2 think I'm the other.
