because i dont want to, and thats not my business to do so.

then i'd have to create a whole new company, draw up whole new paperwork, and do everything myself. Plus i dont have the funding, but if the label lets me micromanage the artist on their dollar? i'd turn em into a star and profit for everybody. I just dont have the funds for all of that, but i know what it takes to get there. Maybe once i start stacking this producer bread up.

plus theres a certain level the artist has to already be out, it takes a lot of time and dedication, and i dont half ass anything. If i started working with an artist now, i'd be half assing it, im worried about myself right now.

unless me and the artist were in a group, and i abandoned all my other responsibilities as a producer to focus on that., and i dont see that happening anytime soon. So why not play middle man, and handle something that labels have been failing at.

In the marketing section they say he signed a pub deal with Dre also, is that true? Too lazy to go to page 1.

...now if you're signed to Warp Records and playing live, that's a different thing. lol

Flying Lotus will make more money this year playing live than Chief Keef during his whole career.

    Do you see why?

    Revenue stream.

    Producers doing LIVE SHOWS.

There's an emerging and growing market for this.

It's almost like Rave/Party/Concert/Studio Session hybrid.
