Somehow the industry kinda worries me. I always wanted to get in the industry and make it big, but Im just too worried. People in the industry sais that its shady, labels try to take your money, and many times THEY will claim the rights to your recordings. Also just how will you stay relevant for your karrier? No one wants to end up like Maino or Young Buck. What does it take to stay on top of the game wouth falling off? Look at those rockbands from the 70's and 80's. Do they still make a living off music?

I dont know man, haha, sometimes I sould like a litle b*tch haha.

Its just that I want to make it, but Im scarred/worried about the life as a famous.

Anyone ever felt the same? I would really like a real good discussion on this.

its too hard to make it to have time to worry about what's afterwards....getting famous is a slow process, you have more time to make decisions than you would like !
    Everybody yelled surprise...I wasn't surprised...

Knowing what you want from the get go is important. The game is said to be shady.......it's not the game. It's shady people other than in the game....they were shady before the game.

And what is worse than a shady person? A person so dead gum nice and giving that he messes up everything for everybody.....because he don't want to be label as shady to anybody. Now he is known as a fuuck up......instead of shady...which is worse IMO.

You don't have to be around shady people or fuuck ups to be in the game. But you do put the responsibility on yourself.......you can be shady to yourself as well......a fuuck up to yourself as well.

It's life. All about choices. Don't let the people where you want to be decide your path just because of the type of people they are. They are just people of all different types....they don't make a GAME shady.

I think your right man. What you said reminds me of Rico Love. He loves to be in the studio recording and loves his music, but he said that often he feels lonely. Not that no one is with him all the time, but those people around him cant be trusted.

Also there is the part with staying in the game. Every musician will some time be overshadowed by new artists. It may take 5-10 or even 20 years, old musicians are struggling with make a "comeback". Happens with every artist.

The thing with a rock band is that a lot of them play instruments. They have way more options than a rapper or a beatmaker/producer. They can play their instruments and be huge at someone's bar and still make a great living. A rapper is just assed out even in a small town. lol!

Pick up a guitar, a saxophone, trumpet. Learn how to really play keys on the midi keyboard. Get used to some real keys instead of the cheap feeling ones with no bounce back.

901_rice_street what you said about rappers and producers being assed out i think is much more true for rappers. rappers are a dime a dozen, hell a penny a dozen, everyone raps. rappers are worthless. being a producer, if you're shits dope you have people wanting your time, your beats etc. but not necessarily be willing to pay for it. (i have people wanting me to do shit free a lot, when i demand money they are no longer interested.) i basically want a minimum of 10 dollars per hour i work on the beat. that's for a throwaway beat. more for dope ish.

and to OP, i'm paranoid as hell about the game. i have ZERO beats online due to fear of beatjacking, i'm gonna start doing some ish i saw in another thread so i can get stuff up. (the random bleeps thing.)

stay independent don't worry about becoming mainstream worry about finding your niche market and being able to have many revenue streams

there are plenty underground indie artists doing very well because most of the money made around their music goes directly to them

    just my two cents
