Actually the only time the marines go in it is when we are invading from sea, like normandy. but if we are going from land the army is first. the army has a much larger mechanized force (tanks and armor vehicles) than the marines.

Not to mention the battle fields of history are lined with young kids filled with propagandic notions of glory and freedom. The US is not free it hasn't been since the turn of the century, the US is one of the most oppressing nations in the world. Our country has over 5 million people locked up, and most of them are from nonviolent bullshyt drug charges or from the inability to pay the fines or taxes our corrupt government instills on it's citizens. I and everyone else is forced to give up 1/3 of our money or we will be jailed. And this is freedom? Extortion?

I wouldn't join. Especially not the Marines. They're some wacko's. Nobody that comes out of the Marines is the same person they went in as.

Most find out it's a big mistake... plus now you have to be approved by Congress to be an officer - they only take the top 4% of the recruits based on scores in some camp.... this was a while ago it could have changed by now. I had to train some of the recruits... boy were they some phuck ups, lol.

I did the Navy for 6 years as a Military Police (Master at arms) Basically went to war, and I have to live the rest of my life with these memories. I had to go through a year of PTSD therapy just to have a decent night of sleep, which I still dont get. I do however get college so im in school doing my thing and all I had to do was get shot at a few times and dodge death.
