    Plasma vs. LCD

What do you have? What do you think? What do you know?

Plasma is cheaper I know and I read it burns out faster, but then I've seen that newer plasmas last 60,000 hours, which even if I left it on 24 hours/day is almost 7 years, so this doesn't seem like much of an issue.

When I research this online, everything seems to point to Plasma. Better blacks, better picture, better vieweing angles, etc. So what I can't figure out is if its the better product, why is it so much cheaper???

Also, which brands of either do you have experience with and think are the best?

I have an LCD, you can hook a computer up to it and make beats ...

I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and sometimes I'm in the living room making beats on the living room TV if there's nothing on...

I can't remember if this is right or not, but I think I was told that plasma's reflect light more than LEDs. Using that, logically, plasma's would be cool for the basement more than the living room.

I've got an LCD and I'm happy with it, tho I don't really use it for anything other than movies.

My girl bought a 36" LG LCD about 2 years ago. About a year ago, it started turning off by itself out of no where. Then we put it up on the wall and it stopped doing that. Haven't had a problem since.

Movies look great on it, the 360 looks great on it, haven't hooked it up to the computer yet, but I would like to at some point.

We got it from 'Video Only', and at first was pleased with the price and service, but when we tried to put it on the wall, we realized that they sold us the wrong brackets for it on purpose, and they gave us the run around for like 2 weeks trying to exchange it for the right one. I'm not buying sh*t from them again.
    Yeah, **** you too...

Well it depends on what you use it for and where:

    Bright living room - LCD

    Basement - Plasma

    Studio - LCD

    Play video games - LED/LCD

    Watch Movies - Plasma

If you got Money and You want all in one - LED

If you dont got money and want all in one - LCD

If you plan on playing video games or watching sports, DO NOT GET A PLASMA. They are fixing the burn-in issues, but it still happens.
