How do you murder 270 people and get released after serving only 8 years?

And i know a lot of people are wondering how I'm against this but said free C-Murder... This guy bombed a plane full of people he had probably never even seen before. There was no argument that could have caused him to act out of sudden rage or the feeling of his life being threatened. He is a plain terrorist. Clear as day.
Sure he is about to die in like 3 months anyway due to terminal prostate cancer, but still. The people on that plane had to die alone, and now he is allowed to die with his family by his side...
270 innocent people dead and all the families of the 270 victims get is this guy serving 8 years before his release. That is just wrong.
