    I know yall watch.

I loved this show. Probably my second favorite non-comedy of all time (I think Game of Thrones is my #1).

But Season 8 was trash. Aside from Ari's storyline, it was 6 episodes of nothing and then 2 episodes rushing to wrap it all up. I mean with each episode ending up being what 20-25 mins, how do you wrap up 8 season in 45 mins???

    ***SPOILER ALERT***

The final episode was ridiculously predictable, in my opinion. They barely had anything for Drama and Turtle to do, they had Vince getting married to a chick that would never ever marry a guy like that in real life, especially after like 2 days, and after a whole season of bitching Sloan and Mrs. Ari both gave in pretty easily in the end.

Im sad it ended like this. I am definitely looking forward to a movie hopefully doing this series more justice.

I mean for gods sake, the 2 mins at the end after credits with Ari being offered the chairmanship was 10x more interesting than the rest of the season combined.

    Thoughts?

Yeah I thought 8 was sloppily written..
They left a good amount of room for that movie though

they just had to end it man...ran out of stories

my theory is the show could have gone 10 seasons if they would have killed E at the end of season 6 the last too seasons have been awful soap-opera-ish

i'll watch a movie i won't expect it to be great....i think i spinoff show with Ari would be better tho

idk if it will happen, i really dont see how a movie would work out well at all tho so i would like to see a spinoff

No yeah I saw that... I just thought it was a setup for the movie, cuz I know theyve all said there is almost definitely gonna be a movie, but I haven't heard any serious talk of an Ari spinoff... is there any???

Id give it a chance, but I dunno if a whole series of Ari would work. I mean I think the reason that most people (including myself) originally loved Entourage is because even tho Vince was the movie star and it was his entourage... at first the show was actually about Eric. I mean if you watch interviews with the creators when they were first developing the series their plan originally was to have the "movie star" character barely even be seen - the show was really always meant to be about Eric.

And I think that was what made the show great - you had Eric who originally worked at a pizza place in NY, but was intent now on rising to the top of Hollywood on his own merits. The interesting subtext to me at first was the fact that on the surface Ari acted like he didn't like Eric but underneath that he was really Eric's mentor and role model. The first few seasons I think can really be summed up as Eric's journey from Pizza Boy to Ari 2.0.

Then in the later seasons they got away from that and focused more on Vince and I think that's where they ****ed up.
