Hard to say what my favorite movie ever is. there's just too many movies in general. But the most recent movie i seen that liked a lot was new jack city.

any Guy Ritchie movie......but if i had to choose one it would be "Snatch"

also, this is not really a movie, but a short tv-serie: "Band of Brothers" (i also loved pacific and generation kill)
