need help with guitar player or the band name he plays for!!

i don't listen to rock much,so i need help with finding a guitar players name or the band he plays for. my friend showed me a guitar player on youtube a while back and the guy pulls the cord thats from the amp out of his guitar and starts strumming with it. i think he was african american.hope you guys know who i'm talking about.

I am sure i have seen this post somewhere else this week haha. Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine is someone who does this alot. Jimi Hendrix is another. Jimi obviously being African American haha.

he's in a band called Rage Against the Machine, and he is known for doing weird **** with his guitar/equipment to make sounds that usually are supposed to emulate old school hip hop effects.

Im sure your talkin about Morello, But, Tony MacAlpine, who used to tour with Steve Vai,(and is black) has also done some pretty weird Sh** with his gear lol. Check him out sometime.

and for those that didnt know tom morello is black...lol...look at his interviews for the album he put out called nightwatchmen or whatever....they asked him if its hard for him being an african american in the music industry
