some of these bands are pretty good... do make say think is one of my favorites. slint wasn't exactly post-rock but they did some stuff that influenced these bands -- slint is excellent.
anyhow, there are some metal bands that have been influenced by mogwai et al... they use similar feedback-delay/tremolo techniques with the guitar. some of these bands include isis, cult of luna, callisto, the ocean collective, rosetta, and a few others... these bands are *fire*

I've been on a big Red Sparowes trip recently, and Russian Circles last album was killer. Tortoise has a new one out but I haven't gotten it yet, anyone else given it a listen?
