Damn, that lead melody has a very... tropic feel to it.
Just a few things I'd suggest:
Widen up the stereo field a bit more
Maybe adjust the arrangement a bit to get to the meat of the song faster. Sadly, many people won't have patience for a minute long song buildup.
But other than that, sounds good. Keep it up.
I like the happy vibes! I think you need to do some EQing with these sounds so they don't bleed together as much (i have the same issue) but it'd make for a crispier mix. I like your use of reverb and all but i think you could clean up your bass a lot more. It's hard to hear the line that well and it's a pretty nice bassline and makes me all happy n shit. I like the vocal sample too but it almost reallllly makes me want to hear you have a traditional african woman singer or some kind of sample instead of carrying on with that sample. If you could find some samples or know a vocalist I think it would be really beneficial. Sounds good though, getting somewhere for sure. If that was helpful at all i'd greatly appreciate some feedback on a track i'm working on :-)
Experimental-Trippy track in the works. Feedback will be returned, i love giving it.
Yeah, I enjoyed the cheesy happy trip. Might use some modulation on the drums hats etc, bit straight forward (even a 1 bar delay just to add some depth). Loved the melodic line, I would destroy it with much more liquid distorted basses and sounds to make it bigger. But thats just me. And I'd fx the vocal with phase and filtered delay to make it part of the rhythm. But that just me tooCool stuff.
