I'm not sure what I like but think minimal is great for DJ's and re mixers if you want other people playing your stuff..... I was always trying to do full on bangers but noticed so many up and coming do minimal.. Think i should get minimal to... If you do it well it can be used by any genre almost, but if you got no space you limit the use.... minimal is good![]()

I like anything minimal, that's where music is heading, the days of HUGE walls of sound are over. the big 200Hz snare are dead accept in DNB and Dubstep but even in those genres, minimal is taking over.
Am a HUGE Tek fan also..

i'd have to disagree with you there. i think the introduction of so many new production techniques and equipment over the years has given most producers the freedom to classify their tracks as they deem fit, but years ago it was considered techno or underground. nothing more. also has to do with how easy it's become to access music as well: the more abstract the genre name, the more attention it's likely to receive.
i joke with my friends all the time about edm genres becoming synonymous with all the various weed strains. dubstep is the new kush lol.
i dont claim to be an expert on this so feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. when i decided to produce edm a few years back i researched it's history, just seems to be my observation after doing some research .
Loco Dice, Luciano, Dave squiellence.....
