Im usually a hip hop head but I wanted to learn about some other genres as well outside of my norm. I like disco and I heard that house is very similar so I started doing some looking and Ive come across 2 kinds of house. A slow lathargic sort and some more upbeat party house. Specifically I bumped into an artist named Peter Kruder and I must say I loved his music Im hoping someone may be able to point me in the direction of something similar to what he does as far as the upbeat fun forms of house.

    Hey Xab,
I can't really comment on stuff thats about now, because admittedly and ashamedly I am now out of touch with modern house music, but my advice as always in a situation like this would be to go back to the classics.
The easiest way to do that for me would be to sample some mix tapes by people like Sasha, John Kelly, Judge Jules, Roger Sanchez etc these guys were pioneering this sound in the clubs in the early nineties.
Now, before anyone corrects me on this, i know there was stuff going on before this, but in my opinion, it take a while for a genre to establish itself and again imo the early ninetires was when this happened for house.
Please don't PM me asking me for cracked software as a polite F*$k Off often offends.

Yeah, House has been around for a while. It all started in 1982 in the Chicago Wearhouse, that`s because the music is called "House". But in the early 90`s it became more and more popular. Here in Europe, or at least where I live, House has reached the same status (does this word exist in English?) as Hip Hop.

Now to your question. I don`t know an artist called Peter Kruder, but if you want to listen to some new house stuff, go to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/dance/

House was an invention of mostly gay people that`s true, but why does this even matter. Today everybody listens to House, it doesn`t have anything to do with being gay or not. There are more gay Hip Hop artists than you think. I respect people, if black, white, bisexual, homosexual, who the hell cares???

    some corrections:
1.house actually came from a club in Chicago named "The House".
2.gay people did not invent house, they were probably just really high on X.
3.some other really good house to look at is some DJ Dan, Richard Humpdivision, Carl Cox and Dj Irene. These artists use so many kinds of house...it will be easy to get a grasp on the whole deal.

May god have mercy on your soul.
    Point one is completely wrong.
Point two is both partially wrong and entirely ignorant.
Point 3: It's Richard "Humpty" Vission. And anyone who likes DJ Irene is a douche.
