Will trap music ever die?

"Those who don't evolve die out" - anonymous

Trap hasn't evolved in the past couple years and is on its last leg. 99% of trap sounds the same, 12 year old "producers" with pirated copies of FL can make better trap beats than the "professionals" and 99% of trap rappers are never heard from again because they have zero talent.

The only "idea" the genre ever had for evolution was to 'go big' and create annoying shrill 'Festival Trap'.
That worked outside of the US..
But then, someone put hihat rolls in the most annoying brostep they could, and it was as if every twelve year old "producer" on the earth silently stood up and said "This."

Trap music will never die.
Because if hiphop isn't dead yet LMAO

I love those genre -___-...

????

People were saying the same thing about Snap Rap (Ying Yang Twins), Anthem Rap (Lil Jon), etc. would never go away and the old heads need to get over themselves and we laughed cuz we've seen it all before.

Hip Hop is the only thing that has survived.

I feel like trap in a sense is already kinda dead when you think about it. Originally trap music was just southern dudes rapping about the street life on southern beats then turned into more once zaytoven came around. Many copied his style and ran with it and began to turn it into something more. Nowadays id say this recent music is more like future bass. It has alot more of the electronic influence now. Its still kind of trap but you can see where its starting to transpire into something else. id say the next five years we wont call it trap anymore as even the lyrics arent the way they used to be.
