Do yall think trap music will ever die out? If so how soon? Its been a minute since da south took over with the trap sound I kno alot of people claim it all sound the same just give me your opinion.

da south took over with the trap sound
Say what now?
Trap got stolen from "yall", and no one cares.

Dont feel bad though. I dont think it was an 'ownable' sound. Too big, too accessible, too popular. When a sound is big enough to create a genre, its not controllable. Ask any old UK heads what they think about "Dubstep" in 2015. They will smash a glass on your face. :p

I think Trap has been killin it for about ten minutes, and itll be gone, or assimilated and watered down into just being hi hat rolls in pop tracks, in about another ten minutes.

I don't think it can die. I mean trap can be retroactively attributed to groups like three 6 mafia and even No Limit.

But as far as being the primary sound of popular hip hop? I think it's already dying down. I hear more of an eastern feel mixed with trap influence. I hear that dark tone key sample with some faster drums becoming the main club sound. Plus DJ mustard has done alot to pick up the BPM in the club too.

Considering it's versatility and the fact that nearly all genres have incorporated elements of it, I think it is safe to say it is here to say, even if it dilutes to elements of it in different genres, the influence will always remain

as a genre?No. as a popular form of?yes.
but just like classical, methods of music making, how to goabout a track can still use it as a guideline.

idk... I don't listen to much trap music so I couldn't say... but I think the next big thing is this Mob Music or Mobwire or "Sip the pan away" as some people call it.. its kinda like trap music with subject matter but the beats have less bpm and usually have soulfull vocal samples through out, and the rappers rap about the trap but do it in a way that they are not glorifying the money or life style they are rapping it in a way that they talk about the pain, the struggling, addiction seeing loved ones die or going to jail and are in the trap just to make it and know they are doing wrong and hope that they can better their selfs. like they know they are doing wrong but the have no other way...to me It seems kinda like Trap music is made for suburban kids who know nothing about that lifestyle and this Mob Music is made for people who are really n that life style and suffer from pain and regret for the things they have done and seen..... Rappers like The Jacka, Philthy Rich, Berner (before he got with taylor gang) and A-One are some of the best at this style..here some songs with this type of music

RIP to the man who started this movement, The Jacka 1977-2015

'music will never die and to categorize something is lame anyways.. Music will only develop and the the typical features/elements of trap music will be found in other music directions sooner or later, so no, it wont die, only the hype will

Naw Trap music is just gonna keep going threw changes.
Not really sure why suburban kids vibe to it but thats cool tho

Here's what I think gon' happen.

Pop music will incorperate trap so much its gonna sound like it, and trap is gonna incorperate EDM untill its a whole other genre, but no matter what, I still think "real trap" will always be around.

There is nothing original about trap - cats was bangin 808's in the 80's and there's even a movie about the 808 machine...David Guetta was rockin it before Boi 1da and Lex Luger, so enough said about that.

Timbaland and Beats By the Pound were rockin the hi hats in the 90's. Mike Will's latest track on the radio samples Beats and TRU.

Rappers have been trash spittin nursery rhymes about hustlin and clubs since the 70's.

What is original about trap music? Cats on here confusing trap with Hip Hop and calling Jeezy and Young Thug for Hip Hop. For that reason, trap has no identity and will be gone.

A bunch of these preset arp and untuned 808 producers will be lookin real sick in the face then scramblin for ideas.

Don't think it'll die it is the one of the most recognised sub-genres in edm right now and like everyone else said its elements has been incorporated into other genres. Whether it'll remain big or not in the future I think it'll still remain in nightclubs and will not die any time soon.
