Hi,
I guess another way to ask this is what sub-genre of Hip-Hop/R&B would you classify the type of song linked below as?
PND has easily been my favorite artist in the game for more than a minute now and most of his stuff I can classify easily and find similar beats I like to write to for, but certain tracks like the one below and other ones sounding similar (i.e. "Welcome To The Party, Dreamin'") I have never been able to figure out how to find when I search. I'll search "ambient", "atmospheric", "melodic", "edm-infused hip hop", "wavy" "upbeat melodic", etc....and I get nothing. I just get a bunch of slow sounding beats with the same 808 kick/bass pattern and NO melodies whatsoever - seriously no melodies at all it's crazy.
Clearly I am not searching correctly so what would y'all recommend I try searching if I hope to find similar beats to those types of songs to write original material to?
