The problem with trap is that most people associate it with electronic music nowadays... because it is being heavily incorporated into electronic recordings today, so people who don't generally listen to hip hop know about trap only since the last two years, and they think it was something their DJs came up with.

Anyone who makes a hiphop timelime STARTING with the '90's, (https://www.futureproducers.com/forums/music-genres/rap-hip-hop-r-b/where-hip-hop-headed-timeline-442762/#post49626097) has no credibility to speak on what is and isn't hiphop.

lol! Seriously. A lot of people relate boom bap to anything east coast......or sound like wu tang.....a lot of people even relate boom bap to what Jay-Z was doing. Da hell is some boom bap?
