Apex (Real producer for "I Get Money" that got beat stolen from him) interview

how does he know that brooklyn track was a coincidence. i sampled that same Where Brooklyn At in a song.

congrats to the dude. sucks for scott boogie, dude is blacklisted now. like jtroup said, that's why you don't jack beats.

Dudes need to start adding re-sale clauses when selling their beats.
Scott Boogie could have been smart and bought the beat from Aphex, and then pass it off as his own. Kinda hard to really defend against that type of jacker. But I'm sure it has happened to at least a couple producers where the tracks they sold to one artist (or a producer disguised as one) ended up getting sold to another artist who made it popular.

The I get money drums and drum pattern have been used in numerous songs.

Haha, well I dunno how many times the kick's been used... It's literally the Storch kick from lean back, with another kick layered under it.
