Subway seems like the best out of all fast food places to work. I'm a bagger. It's wack. Who cares though.

I don't think it is so great. I just think it seems better than other fast food places. Namely cuz you don't have your face all up in greasy ass nasty shit.

I worked at Carl's Jr. and Wendy's before. It's about the same. By itself, it's what most would call a sh$%ty dead-end job.

I keep my mind focused on doing a quality job as quickly as I can, and my enjoyment at work is based solely on how strongly I focus on this. I enjoy my job because it's a great opportunity to practice the self-discipline of focusing on something that isn't intrinsically interesting. I try to beat my fastest time. I try to make the cleanest-looking sandwich. I try to see whether I can make a difficult customer smile while I'm making his sandwich. I do these things not because I feel obliged to, but because they are interesting challenges I can create and satisfy.

If I continue to immerse myself in these interesting challenges, I will be promoted and have a new set of interesting challenges offered to me. Then, I will be promoted again and offered yet another set of new challenges.

Now that I think about it, jobs in general aren't all that boring or exciting. People are.

Comcast Business Account Rep. Only been at it for 3 months now but I do a lot of cold calling and annoying the crap out of local businesses. When I close a sale it's all worth it. :) I was in the call center for 7 mos before I got this position getting cussed out every minute of the day because people's bills were too high or because I couldn't hook them up with another promo. It wasn't making me rich but I made a lot more money than my dudes from school hehe Business Class pays a lot more... but it's a totally different approach to selling and generating leads. Any body with a business or anyone who's tired of the bandwidth cap and whose job requires higher internet usage, hit me up hehe.

There seems to be a lot of people on the Internet in general from the Northwest.

I hypothesize that it's because we have so many rainy days. Outdoor activities are more frequently unpleasant when it rains, so we spend a disproportionate amount of time on indoor "rainy-day" activities.

The Northwest also seems to have a prevalent "speak your mind, do your thing" liberal culture. This, I think, is a fertile ground for communicating in forums. Are there more lurkers from other regions?

Then again, perhaps the entire hypothesis is unfounded.

I bet if you called it, she would act as though you did ask for it.

Security Supervisor at a retirement community. Sitting in a booth watching traffic and hoping old people don't fall is the just of it. I like my job, but I LOVE my job at my home studio...

Haha, I wouldn't doubt it. I used to live in Tualatin and the rain does limit you. Eventually I got used to it, learned to enjoy it and thought of it as tranquility.

I've been thinking about joining the military. I don't have anything better really going.

I work part time at a merchandising company, get sent on projects at grocery & retail stores updating new items, doing resets, etc. Been doing it for like 6 months. Before that I worked grocery for 5 years and various other retail jobs for around 3 years.

Motherf*ck the rain. Its raining right now hard too I don't like it. As far as the liberal attitudes thats too true. I didn't realize that people from other places didn't just say shit like we do in the northwest. Most people here have a very if you don't like what I have to say too bad attitude
