Rhett May’s newest album is truly an exceptional rock release. May was born in Calcutta in the mid sixties. He was on the front line of exposure when western rock music infiltrated the globe. Instantly interested, young Rhett started a band called The Wooly Bullys that was inspired by the music of the Beatles, Cream, the Yardbirds, and Herman’s Hermits. Soon The Wooly Bullys were renamed The Flint Stones and finally found success. They wrote a hit and, for a short time, were India’s most popular musical group. In 1969, Rhett May decided to leave India and move to Australia. Here he found more success with a band that eventually found the permanent name Lucifer. Rhett and Lucifer would eventually open for phenomenal stars like Ray Charles and Queen.

Soon the disco era arrived and Rhett began what would become a thirty-year hiatus from music. It wasn’t until 2013 when May’s next album Insatiable was released. Since then Rhett has only grown more comfortable in his musical shoes. His newest album Creatures of the Night is truly the greatest he has ever released.
