Downtempo TripHip..? Any Advice for a Better Sound?

I've got a looott of songs I'm working on, but I'm having difficulty getting my mixes to have the sound I'm looking for. Any suggestions on how to remove that weird crackling sound in the beginning of my song (if you can hear it) and maybe how to give my drums more depth? I have some songs on SoundCloud, two have no mixing at all except the levels and the other two I began trying to work with the EQ and compressor. I've been working for over a year now on understanding sound frequencies and compressors and have loads of songs, but I haven't felt like uploading them because the sound is kinda stale, but the concepts are fire. Anyone can learn mixing, but making dope songs is something that can't really be learned so I'm at least well off in that respect.

That song has gotten some decent feedback from who I've showed it to and it bumps pretty well. Should give you an idea of the sound I'm going for. Kinda a trippy electronic rap style sound, but also gets you contemplating life haha

This was a concept created for my friend to rap over, has an interesting mix of sounds going on

That's a new song I started working on a few days ago. It's going pretty well so far, but needs some instrument changes. The sound is good, however sometimes it's a bit muddy (IDK if that's the right word)

Hopefully those songs will give you a feel.

Also, if anyone know what genre you would call this that'd be awesome!
