The Chainsmokers....Genre...???

I LOVE The Chainsmokers.

I have almost ALL their songs and I love their style and beats.

I'm a little confused though...

What genre would you classify The Chainsmokers as...???

When they first came on the scene...I like how they incorporated a lot of "Indie/Pop" style lyrics, vocals. So I immediately thought they were "Indie Dance / Nu Disco".

Than...their style started drifting towards "Electro/Progressive House".

As of now...their totally going "Trap" style with the Hi Hat rolls and trap chants.

Honestly...I liked them most in their Indie / Nu Disco phase.

What do you guys think...???
 
I for sure loved their Indie sound. It made them stand out, but now they just seem to be heading towards selling out. But then again times change and they progress as artists that's why music is so universal, especially EDM. :)
