Question About Sampling

Hey Rjd2 I know you have had an on again off again relationship with sampling lol....but when you do sample what are your personal rules with clearing samples... I know for previous records you it was mainly if not all sample based so it would be nearly impossible to clear all of them without going bankrupt (or so i assume)...however at the sametime I've heard your music on car commercials, so I know you aren't hiding the samples per say...so yea what is your philosophy lol
