When sending music to labels/A&R's

Just about to send in some beats to a label but mainly sending it in to the head A&R so it doesn't end up in the pile of other music.

Mainly i'm wondering is it best if I start with sending one beat or should I send one snippet file with 5-7 beats?

I was thinking of sending it through soundcloud

I would ask the A&R specifically how many tracks he would like to hear and go from there.

have you already talked to the A&R at this label??? does he know you're sending him tracks??
