How important is a team and DJ's for producers?

I'm a producer but I don't really have a team of producers engineers artist etc. or a BIG movement behind me.

I know I have good beats but I don't really have a management team and all that so I think these major artists don't take me serious.

I also noticed knowing DJ's for artists are BIG if they want to get radio play but what is beneficial of producers knowing DJ's if they don't record to the music?



I have a hard time "BRANDING" myself as a producer and building connections.


Any advice on moving up as a producer?

Depending on where you live, you could start out on a local level and "hit the streets" in an attempt to connect with like minded individuals and build you a team.
