How exactly does soundcloud work?

not sure if this is the right category to post in but yeah....


ive been getting into soundcloud alot lately and im not sure how it works.....does it have a chart system similiar to soundclick? like will plays and downloads be a factor on how high your song ranks up?

Not sure if there's a chart system, but like the guy above me said, it's definitely a showcase where you broadcast your work. You can definitely tell how much attention a person's music is getting by looking at the number of downloads, favorites and views the person is getting.
