Here's a better way to go about gaining subscribers, besides using your channel to entertain others. Focus more on the number of views you get than subscribers. Ultimately, views lead to subscribers as long as your material is good.
 
Just let your subscribers build organically/naturally....it's useless asking somebody to subscribe to you if their not genuinely interested in your videos
