Those who sell beats online, how did you go about starting your website?

I am considering starting a website or blog as a platform to sell my beats but i dont really know where to begin. Im not too eager to sell my beats through a third party website like beatstars. thanks for any advice you can throw my way
 
You can create a blog (Blogger), embed your beatstore, (myflash, beatstars, etc.), and then start posting links on forums like this, that lead people to your blog. Or you can create your own website, a lot of people (including me) use wordpress.
