I have a collections of 5-6 original tracks and was thinking about releasing one collection of music like an EP instead of just putting them up on SoundCloud straight from the DAW. All I'm really looking to accomplish is have all my music legally mine and able to be shared on popular platforms like Apple Music, Amazon, ect... From what I understand from scrolling through too many web pages is that i'll need;
- Tax ID/Business license
- Distribution; ie CD Baby
Is this all I should be concerned about for now?
I'm not looking too profit from this first release but hopefully future projects I will and I would like to get started the correct way, and with the backing of my own Indie Label, Business, LLC, I dont even know what to call it..
