Question on Bmi and Ascap

hi guys. I currently have a free songwriter account at Bmi registered through my Social Security Number. Is it possible that I can sign with ascap as a music publisher using my EIN (Employer Identification Number or tax Id) of my sole proprietorship company. As long as keep both names separate they shouldn't be able to put two and two together right?

Yes you can do this (this is actually what I've done) Even if they put 2 and 2 together it's not illegal because you are your business are 2 sep entities.

Yeah thats true. You can sign as a writer on one and a publisher on another. You dont even have to use a different name.
