Hey all-
I think this is an issue that all of us beat-makers find ourselves in. So I have 3-4 instrumentals that I think have a nice vibe and are catchy. From your experience, is it better to build a beat catalog and market that, or to find a rapper to rhyme over top and market the finished product?
I don't want to "waste" my beats, for lack of a better term, and spend time searching out the right rapper and such, if I'm better served focusing on a beat catalog. My overall goal is to transition into a full-time beat maker working with well known folks. I know it is probably easier to build a following with a finished product, but then I'm using up my beats.
What do you all think? Thank you
